In a strange incident, “iPhone” captures footage from inside a tiger shark’s mouth (video)
A tiger shark named “Jeterbug” accidentally swallowed an iPhone in the Bahamas, creating a stunning scene captured by the phone’s camera.
In the recorded video, the phone is seen passing through the shark’s digestive system while its gills protrude along the walls of its mouth.

Reports indicated that the “iPhone” was undamaged and remained protected in a waterproof case, an unexpected phenomenon. It continued to function and successfully captured photos from inside the shark’s mouth, where its serrated teeth could be seen.
While documenting the incident, marine biologist Ken Kiefer explained that the “jitterbug” was initially chewing the phone but quickly spat it out once it realized it wasn’t prey.
In the astonishing clips, what is also shown is the so-called “buccal pumping,” which is the method sharks use to move water over their gills when they are not swimming.
Scientists also explain that tiger sharks, like “Gitterbug,” use the “buccal pumping” technique to move water over their gills during rapid swimming (i.e., opening their mouths and gill slits to allow water to pass over their gills, which helps them breathe and extract oxygen from the water).
