Discovering a new type of spider… And that’s the explanation for its “very rare” color.

For the first time, scientists observed large spiders with a blue radiated color, in Thailand.

According to CNN, a group of researchers in Thailand found the cortex (a large type of spider), during a scientific trip in Fang Nga province in the south of the country.
The purpose of the trip was to explore the diversity of the “tails” and their distribution in the country.

An entomologist and plant pathologist said: “We have found a new type of violet-blue coronation, similar to an electric blue glitter (one of the sky blue steps).”

Researchers found this spider living in the Mangrove forest (trees growing in saltwater) and a few days before the publication of a research recording the discovery of the new animal at the “ZooKeys” scientific patrol.

According to researchers, blue is caused by the harmony of what is known as “optic nanostructures,” rather than by dyes.
In these spiders, blue comes precisely from the nature of their hair structure, which includes nanostructures that manipulate light, leading to the appearance of this remarkable color.

The scarcity of blue in nature can be attributed to difficulties in absorbing and reversing specific types of wavelengths of light, according to researchers.

Chumfuang explains that “in order for blue to appear, plants need to absorb a small amount of energy while high-energy blue light reflects what is difficult to do.”

The unique color of these spiders comes from two different types of hair: blue metal and blue purple, and they are found in different parts of the body.
