Chinese media published the story of a sick dog that stayed by its owner’s grave for two years after his death, until it met a kind person who treated its illness and took care of it.

A Chinese influencer and owner of a stray dog rescue center in Jiangxi Province, eastern China, posted a video of the loyal dog on November 5, which garnered 85,000 likes and thousands of comments.

The owner of the video received help from the villagers in the district and found the dog next to its owner’s grave, suffering from a serious skin disease and a paralyzed leg. The villagers told him that the dog had been by the grave since its owner’s death two years ago.

Some people tried to adopt the dog, but it kept returning to the grave alone repeatedly, which made them stop trying. The dog made the grave on the hill his home, and sometimes he would come down to the village to search for food.

The dog appeared calm when the influencer extended his hand and ate all the sausages he offered. After that, the influencer took the dog to his rescue center to treat its skin disease. And before leaving, he promised his late owner that he would bring the dog to visit the grave regularly.

He named the dog “Chongbao,” which means “loyal child” in English.

And two months after his rescue, the disease reappeared, so he was sent to a hospital in Shanghai for treatment. And after two more months, he was completely healed.
